The Richmond Art Gallery's Mission is to promote dialogue around contemporary art. We are here to offer our viewers ways to connect to art, your community and yourself by providing a place to look, think, create and communicate.

Our Audience is anyone from across the community who is curious, creative, inquiring, engaged, daring and innovative. They are people who enjoy thought provoking, inspiring art, an open and inclusive place to connect with community, and who delight in discovering new viewpoints and new ideas.

We are the City of Richmond’s only professional public art gallery that shows contemporary art by local, national and international artists. We can be found in the Richmond Cultural Centre (Library Building), a five- minute walk from the Brighouse Canada Line Station, just across Minoru Boulevard.

At the Richmond Art Gallery you can look forward to five inspiring exhibitions a year dealing with issues and concerns relevant to contemporary life, as well as educational programming such as RBC Family Sundays (free art making for parents and children the last Sunday of the month), TD Canada Trust School Art Program (serving over 100 Lower Mainland Schools), Exhibition Tours, Workshops, Artist Talks, video interviews, hands-on activities and instructive displays in our Education Gallery, exhibition publications and much more.
