Customer Service Guru is a one of the UK's leading customer service blogs.

History

Customer Service Guru is an online business magazine, number directory, news site and business blog run independently as a sister site to Number Direct.

Established on December 11, 2013, Customer Service Guru began its life as a news site and business blog designed to provide quality articles based around customer service, and over the course of the next years slowly became a comprehensive number directory and call routing service.

Its focus shifted from being largely focused on the perspective of business owners and managers, to being primarily aimed at consumers, until it finally settled in a balanced role which appeals alternately to either reader base.

Company Background and Approach

Customer Service Guru was founded in December of 2013 in Lancashire, UK by customer service expert and website content marketer Sophia Wright. Still headquartered on home turf under the leadership of Dan Goss, it continues to strive towards a better future for customer service.

The site’s goal is simple: the importance of customer service to both business and the consumer is enormous, so Customer Service Guru exists to ensure both the business owners and the customer know as much as they want to about it. From how to alter a standard customer service set-up for best customer satisfaction to ‘how to complain and get results’, Customer Service Guru sets out to inform, illuminate and entertain.

Association with Customer Service Gurus

The site gets its name from its close association with a group of Customer Service and Customer Experience experts (or “Gurus”) who regularly work with the site to provide the best of their knowledge on business, customer relations, and marketing.

These Gurus include Shep Hyken, Dennis Fois, Teresa Allen, Kerry Bodine, Karen Walker and Chris Averill, all of whom have successful businesses based around customer service consultation and extensive backgrounds in customer relations.
