Eugene Martin Ingram is an American private investigator, who formerly worked for the Los Angeles Police Department for 13-years, and attained the rank of sergeant. He owns Ingram Investigations, based in Los Angeles, California[1] with two other licensed locations in San Diego and Oakhurst, California.Template:Fact He also owns Ingram Protective Services based in Los Angeles.Template:Fact

Ingram Investigations was issued a Private Investigator license in the state of California on October 12 1982.[2] Ingram Protective Services was issued a Private Patrol Operator license on the same day, which has since been canceled at the licensee's request.[3] Ingram investigations was issued Private Investigator - Branch licenses on August 23, 1999 for Oakhurst, California and San Diego, California.[4][5]

Los Angeles Police Department

Ingram was a desk sergeant employed with the Los Angeles Police Department until 1981.[6][7]

Ingram was acquitted[8] of charges that claimed he was involved in organized prostitution activities, specifically training prostitutes how to evade police officers.[9] He was also acquitted[8] of charges of obstructing a Los Angeles Police Department narcotics investigation.[10] The Herald Examiner reported that Ingram was to face a police department hearing on eleven counts of serious misconduct, but that the hearing had been delayed due to Ingram having been shot by a sniper.[9]

Private investigations

The Sacramento Bee indicated that Ingram was involved in a sting operation against Gerry Armstrong.[11] [12]

In January 1995, the St. Petersburg Times reported that an unnamed woman alleged that Ingram and Scientologist Matt Bratschi posed as Hillsborough County, Florida sheriff's detectives, making insinuations that the sheriff of neighboring Pasco County was involved in an illegal activity.[8] After an investigation, a felony warrant was issued for Ingram's arrest in Tampa Bay, Florida, with bail set at USD$1,000.[8][13][14]
